Roger Ureña has dedicated himself to coffee for 45 years. He started when he was only 13 years old, working alongside his father on coffee fields. At the age of 24, he moved to the United States for a couple of years seaking for work and when he came back, he managed to invest in his family’s coffee production and purchase his first farm with his savings.

The mill, located in Tarrazú, is characterized by its constant coffee processing results year after year, marked by meticulous order and cleanliness and the attentive care given to the coffee, throughout the entire process, sets a notable standard. Such so, that don Roger’s coffee is consistently securing a place among the top 10 in the Cup of Excellence and achieved 1st place in 2024, a reward for their impeccable work over the years.
Regardless of pandemic-induced price drops and to climate change affecting harvests, they have successfully positioned their coffee among the best.
